Refills to Refills- my post-pharmacy experience.

Refills to Refills- my post-pharmacy experience.

A lot of people are surprised to learn that I did actually leave pharmacy behind. I loved it very much for a long time, but I found in more recent years that it no longer brought me the joy it once did.

"You took time to be a mom." Yes, I did. I'm still a mom of 3, and an active part of their journeys. I volunteer at their school and where they do their extracurriculars. I'm a team mom. I'm a chauffeur. This is also something that no longer brings me a great deal of joy, mostly because I dislike driving. I can't complain too much- since this obligatory schlepping was also the source of my inspiration.

While walking through the town on a class field trip, we happened to stop in front of a zero-waste shop, where people were able to reduce their waste by reusing their bottles. I loved this idea and wanted to figure out how to bring this to my own neighborhood. I also wanted to do this with an elegant and luxurious touch to make it truly special and appealing.

I began researching and comparing everyday essentials that could be refilled. My journey took a sharp turn when I realized what's actually in the products we use on our bodies. (Spite, as it turns out, can be an excellent motivator...) Ultimately, I formed partnerships with companies on the East Coast and curated a line of essentials crafted from natural ingredients, We call this the NATRL Collection.  Everything that bears the NATRL name is free from toxins and harmful chemicals- and strives to be as close to nature as possible.

"You can take the pharmacist out of the pharmacy but you can't take the pharmacy out of the pharmacist." So here we are, from refills to refills.
